Beautiful single flowered purple rambler, with a scent of fresh peaches. It was discovered in Cornwall by Mrs Muriel Hooker Mackay around 1967. Graham Thomas believed it to be a seedling of Veilchenblau. Virtually thornless and summer flowering. Size: 4.5m x 3.6m -
Bright yellow flowers of R. ecae are a joy to behold in Spring. Buttercup-like blooms adorn this tall and slender stemmed shrub which is native of central Asia. Red hips form in Autumn. Thought to be a parent of Rosa Canary Bird. Size: 2m x 1.5m. -
Kathleen is a fantastic shrub with sizeable displays of single blush pink blooms. Wonderfully scented and repeat flowering, it's particularly attractive to bees and other pollinating insects. More compact growing than other varieties in the Hybrid Musk group. Size: 120cm x 70cm. -

Mutabilis, a.k.a Tipo Ideale, has single blooms that change through yellow and pink to crimson. Perpetual flowering. Very healthy. Can be kept as a shrub but will climb to 2m if trained. Size: 1.2m x 0.9m. -
Bengal Crimson, a.k.a Rosa x odorata 'Bengal Beauty', is a superb rose. Constantly smothered in single light crimson blooms from May until the first frosts. Compact bushy habit. Very healthy. Good for container growing. Size: 60cm x 60cm, but could be trained to climb to 1.5m. -
Rare. Huge single white flowers with a prominent boss of yellow stamens. Flowers late but continues up until frosts. Almost evergreen foliage. Needs a very sheltered site. Can be grown as a shrub but best as a climber. Supplied on own roots. Size 2m x 2m+ -

An interesting hybrid rambler with two stages of bloom. As it opens it represents Mutabilis' oranges and yellows, then - as petals age - they appear bold white with occasional pink stripes. Dazzling golden foliage and burgundy-red stems. Size: 4m x 2m. -
The Alexandra rose has single blooms of 4 to 8 petals, light pink edges with a yellow center. Mild fragrance. Given enough space this can grow into quite a large bushy shrub. Size 180 x 120cm.
