Yellow

The popularity of Yellow roses begun in the early 19th Century, after the arrival of a few wild yellow roses from Persia and China. By Victorian times gardener’s become obsessed with them, Marechal Niel being a firm favourite. Rosa xanthina var ‘hugonis’, var ‘Canary Bird’, and Rosa banksiae ‘Lutea’ are early flowering varieties, usually appearing in early May, but a lot of the newer modern varieties will repeat flower all during summer.
