More about China roses:
First introduced from China in 1792, these roses were admired primarily for their repeat flowering capabilities. Furthermore they are famous for bringing crimson to the colour palette. They tend to be twiggy, giving them an elegant form, while their scent is strongly unique. Most importantly, China roses prefer to be in a sunny position.

Pruning Guide: China roses tend to make small twiggy shrubs if left unpruned, although some – like La Belle Marseillaise – given time, will even climb. Their slightly tender constitution means they are best placed in more sheltered positions. In smaller gardens they can be hard pruned to maintain a more compact plant.
