More about Ground Cover roses:
Ground Cover Roses basically describes roses of stature that are wider than they are tall. They are sometimes called Procumbent Roses. Some are truly ground hugging whereas others are bushier. Newer varieties are more remontant. Most are excellent landscaping roses but few prove useful for weed suppression.
Cambridgeshire has wonderful clusters of semi-double blooms of golden, cerise, pink and scarlet, which open from pointed buds. It has spreading but compact growth, with glossy foliage and a slight scent. Continuous flowering make this variety a fabulous choice for adding a pop of colour to a border.
Pruning Guide: Can be left unpruned until established. In subsequent years, prune to suit when dormant in the winter months. Large scale plantings can be tackled with a hedge trimmer.
